Become a Patron to the Art of Filmmaking

The 100 Words Film Festival was created in Charlotte as a concept that offers a film festival of world premieres, taps into a cultural craze for film shorts, and helps democratize moviemaking with a format that is financially achievable for nearly every filmmaker.

In our first three years we’ve showcased more than 100 films from student and professional filmmakers from across the Carolinas and around the world. We’ve held seminars on filmmaking, acting, college documentary outreach, and film distribution. We have brought to Charlotte everyone from an Academy Award nominated filmmaker, to the President of the Film Festival Alliance. Several universities across the country, and three in our area -- Johnson C. Smith, Queens University and UNC-Charlotte -- now teach the 100 words concept to their students.

One of the ways we keep growing our festival is through the generous support of our Sponsors and Donors.

We offer a range of ways that Sponsors can contribute that have a direct influence on our mission. Click here to download our PDF on Sponsorship opportunities.

We also accept tax deductible donations. Please email for information. Your financial support directly provides funding to 100 Words Film Festival’s programming and operating expenses.
