Earlier this year we were approached by a Toronto group interested in moving the 100 Words Film Festival to their city. Toronto is a film festival mecca – home to the world’s largest film festival (TIFF) and North America’s largest documentary film festival (Hot Docs). This is an incredible opportunity for the festival and for our filmmakers.

In our spirit of creating opportunities for every filmmaker, we are moving to Toronto. It is a bittersweet decision, made in part because we were never fully funded in Charlotte. Thanks to our supporters and filmmakers. We are thrilled by the possibilities that lay ahead.
