Inaugural Festival Announces Knight Foundation As Lead Sponsor
The 100 Words Film Festival is excited to announce the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation as its 2014 Lead Sponsor. This 100 Words Film Festival offers a fresh new format for modern filmmaking. Every film at this festival will be a premier, and each will deliver a compelling tale using exactly 100 spoken words. Films included are from award-winning filmmakers around the country and local Charlotte filmmakers.
The 100 Words Film Festival has also partnered with multiple colleges and universities and is designed to reach and encourage talented student filmmakers. We are pairing these institutions with non-profits so that students have the opportunity to make important films. This partnership allows charitable organizations the means in which to tell their stories at a nominal cost.
